Junior Movie Review: The goods and the bads of Junior Kireeti’s debut movie

Kireeti’s debut movie Junior has come out, and here is an appraisal writing about the good and bad in this romantic, action, comedy-drama film. This is Kireeti‘s first movie as a lead actor, and everybody has done their best to project him as a full package hero – romance, living, stylish action hero. Sreeleela is co-starring with Kireeti, as well as her trademark energy and charm, she brought a freshness to the screen.
What’s good?
Sreeleela Positivity – She steals every scene with her charm. She has got the best timing when she dances, as well as her expressions are just brilliant, she is probably the best part of the movie!
Entertainment – There were enough masala moments to keep the viewer engaged, especially during the first half. Kireeti’s effort – Kireeti gives it everything that he has for a debut performance. He handled his emotional and romantic scenes reasonably well, although he has growth potential.

What Didn’t Work?
Unoriginal Storyline. The story has not much in terms of originality and is highly predictable. It leans heavily on standard commercial movie formulas. Editing and Pacing. Some sequences, particularly in the second half, dragged and could have been tightened. Chemistry Issues. While both leads were fine individually, the pairing lacks that sizzle.

Final thought
Junior is a passable first film. It had its moments, mostly because of Sreeleela’s enthusiasm and general energy. It won’t wow audiences in terms of story, but it’s not terrible once-per-viewing fare for people who like light, romantic, action-oriented dramas.
