Jharkhand Assembly 2024 – is it really a “Strong Room” at Bazar Samiti for EVMs?
One of the nature rich states of India is Jharkhand. This state is now looks more heated with the 2024 Legislative Assembly Elections with the strong competition between BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) and JMM (Jharkhand Mukti Morcha). It has been announced by the EC of India that there would be two phases of elections taking place from November 13 to 20 and the casted votes will be counted on November 23, 2024. In total, there are 81 seats in his state and the ruling party must possess 41 seats as the majority.
First Phase
- First Phase Election took place on November 13, 2024
- The no.of seats on the first phase is 43
- The 1st phase voting is estimated 65% at the end of the day
- Women – 69.04%, Men – 64.27%
Second Phase
The second phase of elections is going to takes place in 38 seats in Jharkhand. Internet is breaking with the viral video featuring the members of the polling parties who are coming out with the EVMs from the strong room at Bazar Samiti. This video is getting viral just before the election day of second phase. The polling parties are carrying their EVMs for their respective polling booth which includes Rajamahal, Dumka, Pakur and Maheshpur, from the strong room at Bazar Samiti Chamber of Commerce in Dhanbad. This sparked the credibility of the EVMs among the voters.
