ISSF World Championship: Simranpreet & Anish Win Silver In Rapid-Fire Event
Simranpreet Kaur Brar and Anish Bhanwala clinched the silver medal in Rapid-Fire Pistol Mixed Team Event in the ISSF World Championship.
Indian shooters Simranpreet Kaur Brar and Anish Bhanwala won silver medals in the ISSF World Championship.
They couldn’t seize the gold medals as they lost to Yulia Korostylova and Maksym Horodynets of Ukraine in the 25-meter rapid-fire pistol mixed team event in the ISSF World Championship in Cairo, on Thursday.
With scores of 575 and 383 in the first 2 rounds, the Indian pair demonstrated their dominance. On the other hand, Ukraine memorably finished the match and qualified with 562 in the first stage.
Varsha Singh lost out on the bronze medal in the junior women‘s air pistol event by 0.2 points.
Esha Singh won the qualifying round of the 10m Air Pistol Women Junior event with a score of 578, although she came in fifth place with a score of 199.4 in the ranking round.

India now has 26 medals in total, including 10 gold, 6 silver, and 10 bronze, although they are still trailing China in the medal standings.
At the Egypt International Olympic City Shooting Range, Anish and Simranpreet shot excellently all day long, winning the first qualification round with a combined 575 after 30 shots each.
They won once more in stage two, which was reduced from 14 teams to eight, earning 383 points out of a potential 400.
