Speculations are rife that he also reached out to senior Congress and BJP legislators from the Lingayat community. Rumors have it that he has spread a word around that he wishes to form a new regional party. He even held talks with BJP patron and former Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa and his son, party’s state vice-president B Y Vijayendra, over the same matter.
Kishor has also tried to reach out to M B Patil, the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee working president. But Mr. Patil took the Twitter and ensured he cleared the air. “The report is absolutely baseless and fictitious. There is not an iota of truth in the report,” he claimed.
Further reports state that in fact, Kishor is indeed trying to woo some of the biggest Congress names to the tune of five of such people. His focus is more on those who are good but have been sidelined or become inactive. It is also being said he is making a list of leaders neutral in their ideology.
