IPL 2024: Punjab Kings Defeats Kolkata Knight Riders In T20 Historic Chase
On 26 April 2024 Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings had a tough face off against each other. The match took place in Kolkata’s Eden Gardens. The match was full of entertainment as sixes were constant in the innings of both KKR and PBKS. This match also created history in T20 Men’s Cricket by creating the highest run chase ever.
Toss was won by stand-in captain of Punjab Kings Sam Curran and he chose to field first against KKR.

On Friday at Eden Garden Punjab Kings marked another milestone in the history of IPL by chasing the highest 261 runs in a tough competition against Kolkata Knight Riders.
Jonny Bairstow marked his century in this match which led to a grand victory of Kolkata Knight Riders. Other batsmen including Prabhsimran Singh and Shashank Singh also played a significant role which led to the winning of Punjab Kings over Kolkata Knight Riders. Punjab Kings defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by eight wickets.
Kolkata Knight Riders is second on the IPL point table with 10 points right behind Rajasthan Royal who is on the top of the points table with 14 points.
