International Kabaddi player shot dead in Jalandhar
Jalandhar – One of the biggest names of the country in Kabaddi space Sandeep Nangal has been shot dead in Jalandhar.
Nanga was shot by unidentified assailants while he was in a Malian village in Jalandhar for a Kabaddi Cup. In a report, it was found that nearly 20 rounds were fired at him at his head and chest.
The information was confirmed by the Deputy Superintendent of Police (Nakodar) Lakhwinder Singh who also suspected that eight to ten bullets were fired at the Kabaddi player. He also stressed that further investigation is underway, especially with regards to knowing the whereabouts and motive behind the attack.

A video was shared on social media where his body was seen being carried by people known to him. (Sensitive footage). As soon as the spectators of the tournaments heard the firing sound, they left the venue at once.
Nangal has been an immensely popular name in the Kabaddi circuit having dominated the international circuit for over a decade. Be it Canada, the US, the UK or India, he has made a strong name for himself. He was also recently referred to as the Diamond participant given his athletic talents as well as his upper hand at the matwork.
