India Women’s Cricket Team Crushes West Indies in Thrilling T20I Opener
The Indian women’s cricket team won a march with 49-run win over West Indies in the first T20I match at DY Patil Stadium. After an underwhelming series loss in Australia, the Indian team returned strongly, courtesy of brilliant innings from Jemimah Rodrigues and Smriti Mandhana.
Rodrigues was the star for her side as he scored a fine 73 off 35, with 9 fours and 2 sixes to her credit. Vice-captain Mandhana, who scored 54, helped India achieve its highest T20I total against the West Indies of 195 for four. Bowling was also impressive with Titas sadhu, Deepti sharma and Radha Yadav which bowled India winning and West Indies could only muster 146/7.
