ICC T20 Men’s World Cup: India Beat England in Semis, head to Final against SA to be held on Saturday
Indian Innings
Winning the toss England asked India to bat first. With the Hitman going on at a terrific form this world cup, he and Virat came out in the middle. After hitting a six, the chase master got out scoring a run a ball 9, trying to repeat the same shot but in vain. After that it was all show of RoHitman Sharma and Surya Kumar Yadav, both of them stitching a crucial partnership to put India on the front seat. Rohit’s blistering 57 off 39 and SKY’s steady 47 off 36 along with Hardik finishing things off in style by showing some tremendous power hitting (23 off 13) and Jaddu’s 13 off 9 deliveries helped the Indian team to put a scoreboard total of 171 of 7 wickets down to be chased by England in 120 legal deliveries.
England Innings
But it was quite different for England’s batting order. Only captain Jos Buttler (23), Harry Brook (25) and Joffra Archer (21) could reach the 20s and managed to get the team to a total of only 103 losing all wickets in just 16.4 overs losing the match ultimately by a big margin of 68 runs.
India’s all round Bowling and Fielding performance
India kept the splendid form continuing ticking all the boxes in the bowling and fielding department too as the left handed spinners Axar and Kuldeep spun a web in the pitch confusing the english batters only to take the bails off their stumps. Jasprit (Boom Boom) Bumrah showed his class again by clean bowling the stumps of Phil Salt and taking the last wicket of Joffra Archer who was looking good smashing some fours and sixes ultimately being leg before wicket to him showing why he is revered as one of the best fast bowlers in modern cricket history.
The Chinaman bowling action of Kuldeep Yadav and left arm orthodox action of Axar Patel (Bapu) helped them pick up 3 wickets each while Adil Rashid was shown off the field by a stunning throw from Surya. This was the 2nd run out of the England innings as all rounder Sam Curran was given the same treatment by Kuldeep Yadav.
