The Women’s T20I England vs India series had not only witnessed interesting events but also huge changes to the ICC Women’s T20I Player Ranking. A sensational five-match series has been witnessed where India has triumphed 3-2, and some of the players of both sides have managed to improve their statuses in the recent ICC Womens T20I Player Rankings update.

Shafali Verma Returns to Top 10
The Indian opening batswoman Shafali Verma has emerged with a phenomenal rebound in ICC Women’s T20I Player Rankings after she had climbed 4 steps higher to the 9th spot in the batting list. A 21-year-old explosive batter, she scored 176 runs during the whole series with a brilliant strike rate of 158.56, which has made her the second-highest run-scorer after her opening partner, Smriti Mandhana.
Shafali Verma showed her best performance in the last match, where she made a brilliant 75 runs on only 41 balls; in that match, India lost by a narrow margin. Her steady performance with the bat has accumulated her 655 points in the ICC women’s Twenty20 International player ranking, hence making her one of the top ten women T20I batters globally.
Arundhati Reddy Makes Bowling Impact
Another Indian who got lucky out of the series was a fast bowler named Arundhati Reddy. The fact that she obtained one wicket in each of the matches of the series and ended up with six wickets over the time has helped her to escalate to heights in ICC Women T- 20 International Player Rankings. There is an overall improvement in the ranking with Arundhati Reddy gaining four steps to reach the 39th position in the bowling ranking and a whopping 26 steps to the 80th position in the all-rounder ranking.

Charlie Dean Breaks into Top 10 Bowlers
English spinner, Charlie Dean has registered a formidable achievement by becoming the top 10 in ICC Women T20I Player Rankings, among the players of England, holding the bat in their hand. With a Player of the Match effort of 3 wickets at an economy of 23 runs in the final T20I ending up in a tie with Nashra Sandhu and Georgia Wareham to finish in 6th place, she was able to the table 8 spots up.
Strong Bowling Performances Across the Board
Several other England bowlers also enhanced their status within the ICC Women’s T20 player rankings. Linsey Smith moved up 9 places to 38th place, and fast bowler Issy Wong gained 7 places to 50th. The England debutant Emily Arlott, against the West Indies earlier this summer, vaulted up 15 places into 67th position in the bowling rankings.
