The saree which features over 100 elaborate designs inspired by the spiritual and historical significance of Kanchipuram temples and was created by master weaver B Krishnamoorthy. He is a National Award recipient. Also it features motifs of Sorgavasal animal trails from folklore, Mayil which symbolises divinity and Iruthalaipakshi who represents Lord Vishnu.
She accessorised the saree with a Manish Malhotra velvet top which gave her traditional ensemble a modern twist. A rare 200 year old Indian jewellery that was made in Southern India matched her outfit with its diamond, ruby, emerald and pearl embellishments, this parrot shaped item showcases India’s exquisite jewellery artistry.
