Godrej Aerospace To Build 8 DRDO Turbojet Engine Modules
Godrej Aerospace has become the 1st Indian private company to win the order to manufacture 8 modules of the DRDO Turbojet Engine for aerial applications.
The Godrej Group’s flagship company, Godrej & Boyce, has declared that Godrej Aerospace is the first indian private company to secure a contract for the production of eight DRDO Engine modules for use in aircraft.
According to a statement, Godrej Aerospace awarded the order in a competitive market with over 25 other companies because of its robust infrastructure, expertise in working with unusual materials, decades of experience manufacturing liquid rocket engines, and service to major international aviation companies.
“This initiative gives up a wide range of possibilities for future products to be produced locally in India. Godrej Aerospace is prepared to handle the rising demand for numerous types of engines thanks to the growing interest from international companies to produce in India, the spokesperson said.
“We are happy to have secured the contract to build the DRDO Engine modules, which is a testament to our strengths and expertise in the aerospace business,” said Maneck Behramkamdin, AVP & Business Head, Godrej Aerospace, in response to the order.

This experience will open the door for next initiatives to create modules for engines used in civil aircraft as well.
Godrej Aerospace is dedicated to supporting the Make-In-India strategy of the Indian government and assisting India in becoming self-sufficient in the production of indigenous sophisticated fighter jet engines.
According to the corporation, it has added new procedures to its manufacturing operations and invested over 500 crores in aerospace and defense projects.
