Electric Two-Wheeler Buyers Can Get Up to Rs 10,000 Subsidy Under New PM E-DRIVE Scheme
The Government of India is providing an economic incentive to consumers using electric two-wheelers for their commutation. Part of a new scheme, known as PM E-DRIVE Scheme, it has been proposed to usher in quick change. Union Heavy Industries Minister HD Kumaraswamy released information regarding this on Thursday.
In the first year of the scheme, the improvement of respondents was noted on factors such as punctuality and attendance rate.
– That too within the range of Rs. 10,000 for an electric two-wheeler is feasible.
– The cost is proportional to the battery power in Rs 5,000 per kilowatt hour.
In the second year:
– It goes down to Rs 2,500 per kWh.
– The maximum that you can receive is Rs 5,000
The government is also giving money for:
– E-rickshaws: Rs 25000 in the first year and Rs 12500 in the second year.
– Cargo three-wheelers: Rs. 50000 in the first year and Rs 25000 in the second year
To get the subsidy:
1. Buy an electric vehicle
2. Employ your Aadhaar to show your identification.
3. Take a selfie
4. Collect signed papers from the dealer
5. So all files should be uploaded to the PM E-DRIVE website

Big Things for Electric Vehicles
The government is spending a lot of money on this:
– Rs 10,900 crore for the PM E-DRIVE Scheme;
– Prime Minister e-Bus Sewa-Payment Security Mechanism for another plan of procuring more electric buses at Rs 3,435 crore.
They hope this will help sell:
– 24.79 lakh electric two-wheelers
– 3.16 lakh three-wheelers
– 14,028 e-buses
Another plan, the PM-eBus Sewa-Payment Security Mechanism, has the objective to add 38,000 e-buses to India. This they are planning to stay,435 crores for.
