Eight States Get New Governors In Cabinet Reshuffle
There has been a major shuffle in the portfolios and many governors have been appointed to particular states. Thawarchand Gehlot is the most noticeable face when it comes to the rights of the scheduled castes.
He has been appointed as the new governor for Karnataka and comes from the BJP banner. He became a Rajya Sabha member in 2012 and was then re-elected to the Upper House of Parliament from Madhya Pradesh in 2018.
He has had the experience of holding the agriculture portfolio as well and is said to be close to Mr. Narendra Modi. Up until now, he was holding the helm as the cabinet minister for Social Justice.

Meanwhile, Mr. Bandaru Dattatreya has been appointed the new governor of Haryana who was up until now in charge of Himachal Pradesh. Of all, eight states have been said to have received new governors. These also include Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Goa, Bihar and Jharkhand.
Those appointed are Andhra Pradesh BJP leader Hari Babu Kambhampati, who has been given charge of Mizoram, BJP leader from Gujarat Mangubhai Chaganbhai will be new governor of Madhya Pradesh, Goa’s forest and environment minister Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar will head Himachal Pradesh, Mizoram governor PS Sreedharan Pillai is now in-change of Goa, BJP leader from Bihar and Haryana governor Satyadev Narayan Arya of Tripura and Union minister in Vajpayee cabinet and Tripura governor Ramesh Bais has been moved to Jharkhand.
The new appointments only show the general’s army is increasing and got its trusted to guard the various posts within the country.
