Dr V Narayanan Appointed as New ISRO Chairman, Set to Take Charge on January 14
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has stated that Chairmans ISRO, well known scientist Dr V Narayanan will take over on January 14 from S Somanath. Dr Narayanan presently working for Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC), banglore holds about four decades of experience in rocket and spacecraft propulsion.
Dr Narayanan graduated in Cryogenic Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and has to his credit many remarkable feats of ISRO which include the glorious cryogenic stage of the world’s largest and most effective space engine, C-20. Such important works are India’s own cryogenic engine which he has formulated, and lead the Failure Analysis Committee in Chandrayaan 2 and now landing on Shiv Shakti Point is Chandrayaan 3. He is also the Chairman for National Level Human Rated Certification Board for GAGANAYAN which is a very important mission of India towards human spaceflight.
New chairman ISRO from Thiruvananthapuram announced his moves for the organization saying that he has a blue print for India and the talent at ISRO will be taken to next level. Dr Narayanan will also be heading the Space Commission in the next two years which will further escalate India’s space journey.
