Delhi to Manchester: IndiGo plans to enter the European market for the first time
India’s IndiGo is planning to enter the European market for the first time in its operational history by launching non-stop flights from Delhi to Manchester in the UK in the near future. This marks an important milestone for the airline.
IndiGo is looking to enhance the number of international destinations it can address. The airline’s plans to operate daily non-stop flights to Manchester could bear fruits as early as July 1, 2025, according to media reports.
The current filing states IndiGo has already secured the required slots to operate these flights. Flight 6E31 shall reach Manchester at 7:55 am GMT. The return flight 6E32 is expected to depart from the UK for the Indian capital at 10:55 am GMT.
This route makes sense as the demand from different Indian cities to Manchester is actually good. Mumbai stands as the largest market to Manchester from India. Delhi is the second largest market at 57,000 passengers in 2023, compared to 69,000 for BOM.
