Delhi Red Fort Blast: Terror Probe Uncovers Kashmir Link and Explosives Trail

On November 10, 2025, a series of explosions that shook Delhi’s Red Fort killed at least eight people and left more than twenty injured. The blast, which marked the start of an increasing wave of violence in the area, happened around 6:52 PM at Gate No.1 of the Red Fort Metro Station and was labeled as a terror attack. A white Hyundai i20 vehicle used in the explosion has been traced back to a doctor, Dr. Umar Mohammad, who lives in the Pulwama district of Kashmir and is suspected of being a terror operative. The police have enforced UAPA laws, and a combined force consisting of NIA, NSG, and Delhi Police is looking into the matter. About 2,900 kg of explosives were confiscated in the raids conducted in Faridabad, which are related to the case.
Blast and Casualties
The blast left six cars and a police post that was close to the explosion completely destroyed. The people who saw it happening stated that there were fires and that the debris was going through Chandni Chowk. The incident caused the death of eight people immediately, while 20 more got really injured and thus, sent to the hospital.
Suspect and Terror Link
The investigators followed the ownership trail of the vehicle from Gurgaon all the way to Pulwama. The last registered owner, Dr. Umar Mohammad, said to be connected with a terrorist group in Kashmir, disappeared after the arrest of his accomplices. The cops have taken his family into custody and are doing DNA tests on the remains that were found.

The specialists from the forensic department discovered ammonium nitrate. The i20’s path was mapped out through the blast with the help of 230 camera’s recorded images. The investigators think that an explosive device with very high power was used.

Amit Shah, the Home Minister, announced a multi- agency investigation, while PM Narendra Modi promised harsh punishments. There was an increase in security all over the country, and the Red Fort was temporarily closed because of this.
