‘Laapata Ladies’ actor Chhaya Kadam in a Legal Trouble for eating a protected wildlife species

Actor Chhaya Kadam known for her impressive filmography is under legal trouble now for her recent revelation of eating an protected wild species of animals and birds. A slip of the tongue or light hearted conversation in one of her recent interviews has now cost her badly as hunting such animals for food or otherwise is illegal under the law.
Chhaya Kadam acclaimed for her works such as ‘Laapata Ladies’, ‘Sister Midnight’ and many is soon to be investigated by the Forest Department who has already launched a probe to spot the illegal poachers of protected wild species and supplied to the actress. The actress stated that she has tasted species like mouse deer and monitor lizard while also claiming to have eaten wild boar and porcupine.
“We got in touch with Kadam over the phone, where she informed us that she is out of town for a professional trip and will return only after four days. She has informed us that she is seeking a legal advice and will be appearing before us for the investigation.”, the Investigative Office stated during his brief with The Free Press Journal.
The investigation is induced after a letter from Plant and Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) to the Thane Chief Conservator of Forests and the Divisional Forest Officer notifying about the actress’ confession during a radio interview and seeking action against her.
