‘Bharat Park’ In UAE To Fulfill Global Demands For Indian Products
India is planning to open ‘Bharat Park’ in the Gulf country UAE. The United Arab Emirates (UAE), a country with a large Indian community, representing about 28% of its total population, is set to host this new venture called “Bharat Park.” This initiative aims to give Indian products a global platform.
Bharat Park is a project to establish a mall showroom and warehouse specifically for Indian goods in the UAE. This facility is anticipated to be operational by 2025. The key idea here is to offer Indian exporters a dedicated and significant space in a strategic international market.
Indian Ministry of Commerce & Textiles
This announcement came from Piyush Goyal, India’s Union Minister of Commerce and Textiles. He spoke about this during an event organized by the Synthetic and Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC).
The concept behind Bharat Park is to make it simpler for countries around the world to access and buy Indian products, promoting Indian trade globally.
Location of Bharat Park In UAE
The location selected for Bharat Park is in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, an important part of the UAE’s business hub, situated near Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
This area is a key strategic location that will facilitate the distribution of Indian goods not just in the Middle East, but also in Africa, Europe, and the Americas.
Abdullah Al Hashmi, from DP World GCC, emphasized that this park is expected to become a global distribution hub, enhancing trade relations and reducing the costs and time associated with transporting goods.
UAE’s Non-Petroleum Trade
Furthermore, the establishment of Bharat Park aligns with the goals of India and the UAE to increase their non-petroleum trade to $100 billion by 2030. It’s a significant step following India’s Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) with the UAE in 2022.

Local Products In International Platforms
In addition to Bharat Park, the Indian government, through the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), plans to set up 21 testing laboratories across India with an investment of Rs. 40 crore.
This is part of a broader effort to boost the quality and standard of Indian products, ensuring they meet international standards.
The Bharat Park initiative is a major leap for India’s presence in international markets, providing a dedicated platform for our products and enhancing the visibility and accessibility of Indian goods globally.
