BCCI Shortlists 20 Players For The World Cup 2023
The BCCI secretary Jay Shah conducted a meeting where 20 players (including Rohit Sharma) were shortlisted. The head coach Rahul Dravid was also in the meeting.
According to insiders within the board, there is no imminent risk to Rohit Sharma’s ODI and Test captaincy since the BCCI brass has not found anything unacceptable about his leadership in the conventional formats.
Rahul Dravid, the team’s head coach, and skipper Rohit were present for the Mumbai review meeting. Jay Shah, the BCCI secretary, led the meeting.
Chetan Sharma, the chairman of the previous selection committee, VVS Laxman, and President Roger Binny were also present during the review meeting.
New T20 captain Hardik Pandya missed the meeting since it was focused on the World Test Championships (WTC), where India has a decent chance of reaching the finals, and the 2023 ODI World Cup.
