Apple Announces Best Apps & Games Awards For 2022 On App Store
Apple is rewarding the apps listed on its App Store which have brought a cultural impact. BeReal, MacFamilyTree 10, Apex Legends Mobile, ViX & Gentler Streak are some of them.
The winners of the 2022 App Store Awards have been revealed by Apple. The corporation also disclosed which games and apps are most downloaded, both for free and for money.
This year, the free battle royale game Apex Legends Mobile won iPhone Game of the Year, and the social media app BeReal won iPhone App of the Year.
Since roughly ten years ago, Apple has been awarding the top applications.
Apps created for all of its platforms, including the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple TV, are eligible for the prizes.
Last year, the top iPad and iPhone apps were LumaFusion, a premium video-editing programme, and Toca Life World, a no-cost video game.
While Moncage was named the best iPad game of the year, GoodNotes5 was named the best iPad app of the year.
The top Apple TV and Mac apps were rated as Vix and MacFamilyTree 10, respectively. In terms of video games, the top titles for Mac and TV were Inscryption and El Hijo. Meanwhile, Gentler Streak was the best Apple Watch app of the year.
How We Feel, an app that assesses users’ mental health, and Locket Widget, which enables users to post live photographs immediately to their friends’ lock screens, are two examples of the Cultural Impact Winners.
The last three include the video game Inua-A Story in Ice and Time, the app Waterllama, and the narrative-driven video game Dot’s Home.
Apple also disclosed the most popular games and applications for 2022.
The top three paid apps were ProCreate Pocket, HotSchedules, and The Wonder Weeks, while the top three free apps were TikTok, YouTube, and WhatsApp.
The most downloaded free games in the gaming category were Wordle, Subway Surfers, and Roblox, while the most popular premium titles were Minecraft, HeadsUp!, and Bloons TD 6.
