Andhra Pradesh: Single-day spike in coronavirus cases recorded at 2,593 positive cases and 40 deaths

Andhra Pradesh saw yet another single day spike so far as state’s overall tally of the coronavirus cases reached 38,044, and 40 deaths were reported in 24 hours on Thursday, The Hindu reported.
According to the Health Department, 1,015 patients got discharged from the hospital in 24 hours. Around 19,393 recovered, and 18,159 cases were undergoing treatment in many hospitals. The recovery rate of coronavirus is 50.98% and the positivity rate of tested samples in the past day 11.63%.
Guntur district has reported 4330 cases, Anantapuramu 4284, Krishna 3021, Chittoor 3864, West Godavari 2537, Kadapa 2275, and East Godavari district recorded 643 cases in a day, taking its total to 4505.
On Friday, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao examined the Covid-19 situation in the state. He stated that the government is well prepared to contain the spread of the virus and offer treatment people infected by it. Rao held a meeting at Pragathi Bhavan and inspected the measures necessary to control the epidemic. He also appreciated the paramedic and medical staff for providing continuous services to battle the virus.

The Telangana Pradesh Congress leader Gudur Narayana Reddy who recouped from the coronavirus has formed a Plasma Donors Association for spreading awareness among those who have effectively recovered from the disease and encourage them to save other patients lives by donating plasma.
Our blood produces antibodies, and some cells like the antigen make antibodies when they interact with a similar disease again. It has been observed lately that plasma therapy helps an intense covid-19 patient to come off the ventilator and recoup fast. The plasma donated from a recovered coronavirus patient is helping new critical coronavirus cases to recover as well.
