Air Pollution in India Forces “Anti-Ageing” Bryan Johnson to Walk Out of Nikhil Kamath’s Podcast Midway

Bryan Johnson, an American entrepreneur known for his anti-aging efforts recently walked out of Nikhil Kamath’s podcast in India citing bad reactions to air pollution. Johnson suffered skin rashes and burning feelings in his eyes and throat which he attributed to poor air quality.
Johnson reported that the recording environment aggravated his suffering. Despite having a personal air purifier, the studio’s ventilation system brought in the outside air making his filter ineffective.
The indoor Air Quality Index (AQI) reached 130 at the time of his leaving with PM2.5 levels at 75 µg/m³ which is equivalent to smoking 3.4 cigarettes in a 24 hour period.
Johnson expressed caution over the normalisation of air pollution during his visit to India. He witnessed residents participating in outdoor activities without protective gear despite well documented health dangers of the air quality.
Johnson stressed that increasing the air quality in India might considerably improve public health more than curing all the cancer.
