After the Divorce announcement, Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao sit down for a message

The divorce announcement of Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao had left their fans shocked. Some of them were worried while some wished for them to get back together and at a time like this, it was only fitting that they came out to explain their side of the story. 

The two artists came together on Saturday to record a video message for their fans and they seemed to be the most cordial and comfortable with each other. The former couple was seen holding hands and smiled throughout the video as they talked about their relationship. 

The 3 idiots actor shared that their relationship might have changed but the fans don’t need to worry about that as they are still very much a family. “You all must be saddened and shocked by the news. We just want to tell you that we are very happy and we are a part of one family,” he added. 

They also talked about their non-profit organization–Paani. He stressed that no matter what their foundation will continue to work as it is not just a foundation and rather it is like a baby. He also said that Paani is like their own child Azad and we all will continue to be a family forever.

He concluded by saying that this is what he wanted to say and assure his fans that they need not worry about their family situation. Late Friday, media outlets began speculation on the divorce filings of the two and a day later, the filmmaker and the actor issued a joint statement stating the end of their 15-year marriage. 

The statement said that all these years, they have shared their life filled with love and joy and it has only grown each year. “Now we would like to begin a new chapter in our lives – no longer as husband and wife, but as co-parents and family for each other,” they said.
