Adept Indian Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan Commnets on his successful franchise movie ‘Krrish’ and its sequel

The first movie “Koi Mil Gaya” from the franchise of superhero action thriller movie “Krrish” was released all over the India in 2003 which was directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan himself. This movie became a pioneer for many of the later movies which released in Bollywood with the story which is constructed based on superhero and sci-fi action action thriller. Following that the 2006 movie “Krrish” became cinematic sensation in the Indian Cinema. The movie accaloded for the story, screenplay, ideal casting and most importantly the VFX effects and all these alluring elements turned this movie a classic one of all time.
In a recent interview, the acclaimed filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has told about the “Big scale movie” which has become difficult to fund and it makes the idea of making a sequel of “Krrish 4” remains in the stage of question mark. His interview resonates the fact that, some of the big scale movies of Bollywood has met with a backfires which constrains the vision of filmmakers to go for a high-stake cinema with multi-starrer casting.
“What is happening is that the audiences is still not coming back to the theatres, so that it is a bug question mark for me. Krrish is going to be a big film. The world has become smaller and kids today are used to seeing Hollywood superhero films that are made on budgets of like 500-600 million dollars. Meanwhile, we have a small budget of Rs.200-300 crore in comparison”
“We have to be very careful. And we cannot make a picture of that money (Marvel, DC). We don’t have that much money. Our budget doesn’t allow us.. We have to concentrate more on the story” he added.
