7 Indian Boxers Enter Finals At Youth World Boxing Championships
Medals are confirmed for India for the Youth World Boxing Championships as the seven Indian boxers have entered into the finals after outstanding winnings.
Seven Indian boxers have moved to the finals of the youth men’s and women’s world boxing championships thanks to their outstanding triumphs in La Nucia, Spain.
Vishwanath Suresh, Ashish, and Vanshaj rushed into the summit brawl. In the women’s division, Kirti (+81kg), Bhawna Sharma (48kg), Devika Ghorpade (52kg), and Ravina (63kg) made it to the finals.
Vishwanath defeated Juanma Lopez of Puerto Rico 4-1. Vanshaj (63.5 kg) and Ashish (54 kg) defeated Khujanazar Nortojiev of Uzbekistan and Deshawn Crocklem of the United States 3-2 and 4-3, respectively.
By a unanimous vote, Ravina and Bhawna defeated Assem and Gulnaz Buribayeva, two opponents from Kazakhstan. With a 4-1 score, Devika defeated Aameedah Joy of the USA.
After losing in their individual semifinal matches, four additional Indian women boxers— Tamanna (50 kg), Kunjarani Devi Thongam (60 kg), Muskan (75 kg), and Lashu Yadav (70 kg)—earned bronze medals.
11 out of the 17 quarter finalists from India demonstrated their dominance at this renowned competition by winning medals.

While Vishwanath defeated Juanma Lopez of Puerto Rico 4-1, Vanshaj (63.5 kg) and Ashish (54 kg) won their nail-biting semifinal matches against Deshawn Crocklem of the USA and Khujanazar Nortojiev of Uzbekistan, respectively, by scores of 3-2 and 4-3.
Kirti defeated Assel Toktassyn of Kazakhstan 3-2. By a unanimous vote, Assem Tanatar & Gulnaz Buribayeva, both Kazakhs, were defeated by Ravina and Bhawna’s punches. Aameedah Joy of the USA was defeated by Devika 4-1.
