The 10-minute delivery introduced by food delivery application Zomato is receiving a lot of flak from the consumers as well as business experts.
The concern that surrounds this initiative is the pressure these delivery executives will have to deliver the food time that may lead to road accidents or some other damages due to the hurry.
Most of the reactions were seen on social media after Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal tweeted that they are planning to bring in a new delivery plan called “10 minute food delivery”. He also went on to clarify how this plan will be executed and act on the lines of delivery mechanism.
On Monday, Goyal had tweeted, “Announcement: 10 minute food delivery is coming soon on Zomato. Food quality 10/10. Delivery partner safety 10/10. Delivery time is 10 minutes.” He also asserted that ‘Zomato Instant’ will ensure the delivery partner’s safety while achieving this impossible task.
The company further stressed that the design of our initiative to keep on innovating and leading from the front and that is the only way to survive. Especially when it comes to the tech industry, such initiatives became all the more important, hinted the company. Hence, they are coming up with a 10-minute food delivery offering and it also stated that the food delivery app will not be compromising in any way for this. It further narrowed down to eight principles on which Zomato Instant wil be functioning.
