World’s 10 Most Popular Leaders As Per Global Leader Approval Rating

India’s PM Narendra Modi again became the world’s most popular leader with an approval rating of 77%. The rating has increased after Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra.

In August 2022, only 56% Indians were satisfied with PM Modi. But surprisingly, the approval rating (popularity & satisfaction) for Modi has increased 77% after Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra.

With a 77 percent popularity rating, Prime Minister Narendra Modi continues to be the most well-liked president in the entire globe. 

This information was disclosed in a Global Leader Approval Ratings report published by the American consulting company Morning Consult.

In second and third place, respectively, are Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, each with 69% and 56% of the vote, respectively. 

Joe Biden, the US president, and Rishi Sunak, the next prime minister of the UK, are ranked lower on the list with approval ratings of 41% and 36%, respectively.

While only 19% of respondents opposed PM Modi’s leadership, that percentage was 52% for Biden and 46% for Sunak, respectively. 

Higher approval ratings imply that citizens believe their nation is moving in the right direction, whereas lower approval ratings imply that citizens believe their nation has veered off course.

The most recent approval ratings are based on information gathered from this month’s 16th to 22nd. 

It is based on adult residents in each nation’s seven-day moving average, with sample sizes differing by nation. Prime Minister Modi had placed first in the previous ranking as well.

In Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and the United States, the survey monitors public opinion of political figures as well as national trends.

The ratings, according to Morning Consult, are based on more than 20,000 global online interviews done each day. 

Based on a seven-day rolling average of all adults in a particular country, the global leader and country trending data has an error range of 1-4 percent.
