Operational since December 30, 2023, it spans an impressive 88.52 acres, designed to alleviate congestion at the Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus in Koyambedu. This terminus primarily serves buses heading towards the Southern districts of Tamil Nadu, including key cities like Dindigul, Kanniyakumari, Madurai, Thoothukudi, Tiruchirappalli, Tirunelveli, Cuddalore, Pondicherry, Sengottai, Karaikudi, Kumbakonam, and Thanjavur. Integrated with mofussil buses operated by TNSTC, SETC, Kerala KSRTC, KSRTC SWIFT, and contractual (omni) buses, it is set to become Asia’s largest bus station upon completion of construction.
Vadodara Bus Station, Vadodara
Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014, the Vadodara Bus Station is a five-story building worth Rs 114 crore. With around 400 retail shops, it caters to approximately 30,000 passengers traveling on 800 buses through the terminal.
