Prashant Kishore is like a trump card that every party wants in their stack. As last week’s all latest attempts by Congress party went in vain to bring in the key political strategist, Kishore’s cryptic tweet has stirred India’s political stage.
On Monday, Prashant Kishore tweeted that it was time to go to the “real masters”, the people, prompting speculations that he might be heading towards starting his own party. Kishore tweeted, “My quest to be a meaningful participant in democracy & help shape pro-people policy led to a 10yr rollercoaster ride! As I turn the page, time to go to the Real Masters, THE PEOPLE,to better understand the issues & the path to “जन सुराज”-Peoples Good Governance शुरुआत #बिहार से.”
Kishore at present is in Patna and was scheduled to meet Bihar’s Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday. This signals that Prashant Kishore might launch his political career from Bihar.
Kishore had started his career as poll strategist ahead of the 2014 general elections when the time was of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s candidature. In 2015, in a bid to defeat BJP in Bihar elections, Kishore played a key role in forging alliance between long time rivals JD(U) and RJD. After that he played critical role in Captain Amarinder Singh’s victory for Congress in Punjab in 2017.
The golden retreat continued for Kishore as he assisted in YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s win as Andhra Pradesh’s CM in 2019. After that the victory feathers in his crown included Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s re-election, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin’s victory in 2021 and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee‘s landmark win against the BJP the same year.
The record has been spotless for Prashant Kishore. As he is lured by each political party to join their campaign, the latest tweet as set a new game board. What is your analysis about Kishore’s tweet? Comment in the section below.
