Werewolf Film Bhediya Records Poor Advance Bookings, Earns ₹1.85 Cr Only

Kriti Sanon & Varun Dhawan starrer comedy-horror film ‘Bhediya’ released today. But the film got poor advance bookings despite positive reactions.

Today marks the release of Varun Dhawan’s spooky comedy horror film “Bhediya” in theaters (November 25).

The advance booking stats for this Indian werewolf film continue to be bad, despite these positive WOM (word of mouth) and a fantastic reception to the trailers and songs.

The concluding figures of day 1 advance booking for “Bhediya” were disappointingly low, at only Rs 1.85 crore gross, based on a report by Koimoi.com.

As a result, the Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan blockbuster is entirely dependent on today’s walk-ins.

Although the majority of the 3D tickets for the film have been sold, trade analysts are not overly optimistic that the sales would significantly impact the film’s overall advance booking results.

Bhediya’s sluggish start at the box office was also confirmed by other BO monitoring sites like Box Office India. The movie did poorly, even in big cities where it was anticipated to do well.

Bhediya’s first-day advance sales in Tier 1 cities like Mumbai and Delhi were only Rs 38 lakh and Rs 39 lakh, respectively, according to box office tracking website Box Office Pan India, which shared the movie’s box office statistics on Twitter.

At Book My Show, the first day’s advance booking (gross) for 3762 show screens was only Rs 1.94 crore.

The phenomenally successful “Drishyam 2” is without a doubt a big factor in the film’s sluggish start at the box office.

The Ajay Devgn and Tabu-starring movie is still having a field day at the box office and isn’t showing any indications of slowing down.

Within a week of its release, the suspense drama, as reported by a report by Koimoi.com, joined the Rs 100 crore club.

The werewolf transformation occurs every full moon night in the film directed by Amar Kaushik (of “Stree” and “Bala” fame). Varun Dhawan plays youthful road construction contractor Bhaskar.
