Usain Bolt welcomes his twin sons on Instagram with a family portrait

One of the greatest of all time, Usain Bolt welcomed his twin sons with his partner Kasi Bennett and made it official on Sunday on the occasion of Father’s Day. The Jamaican track and field expert announced the British of his children through a post on Instagram. 

He shared a family portrait where he is posing along with his partner and two sons. He also took to the platform to announce the name of his sons–Thunder and Saint Leo Bolt. The athlete already had a daughter, Olympia Lightning Bolt. 

The sporting superstar captioned the picture writing the names of all three kids and added his symbolic bolt/lightning emoji along with it. Usain Bolt is synonymous to lightning speed and there was absolutely no surprise when he chose to name his kids in a relatable fashion.

On Social media, people were impressed with how Bolt chose to name his children. One of the users quickly linked Thunder and Lightning and said that with two of them together, a storm is highly possible. Another user said, “Listen, when your name is Bolt and you’re the fastest man alive, the universe is telling you to do all the cool things with the baby names.”

The couple welcomed their first child last year and now the two are parents to three children. The world famous athlete has decided not to take part in the Olympics this year as he had already announced his retirement from the sport in 2017. It will be the first time since the 2000 Olympics that track events will not be witnessing the magic of Usain Bolt.

In his previous interviews about the Tokyo Olympics, he said that he is definitely excited to be cheering for the players from the stands recalling that he never got an opportunity to closely watch an Olympic event from the stands.  

Bolt has a glittering career as a track and field athlete having won every major sporting event in the world. He has eight Olympic medals to his honor which he had won in 2008, 2012 and 2016. He also holds the world record for 100 and 200 meters.
