UPSC Notifies 979 CSE Vacancies Lower Than Last Year’s 1,056
January 22nd the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 notification was made public by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). There are 979 positions available this year. Candidates can visit upsc.gov.in to view the curriculum, exam pattern and comprehensive information bulletin for this year.
150 IFoS and 1,056 CSE positions were announced by UPSC previous year 2024 higher than 2025. Also this year, the Commission is releasing the notification and opening applications in January in contrast to prior years when UPSC CSE notifications were released in February. The notification’s release timing has not yet been disclosed though.
The UPSC CSE interview process is now under progress and will conclude in April. The date of the UPSC CSE 2025 preliminary test is set on May 25. Candidates can register for the UPSC main test if they receive higher scores than the cutoff in the CSE preliminary exam. Descriptive mains will be held for five days starting on August 22.
