UAE to host the “Champions Trophy 2025”? Why did Pakistan Lose the Hosting Rights?
The long-awaited global event by the hardcore Cricket fans around the world is the “Champions Trophy 2025”, which commences on February 19th of this year and it lasts till March 9, 2025. A total of eight burly teams including India, Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan will participate in this 2025 edition. Initially, the scheduled matches were expected to be held at different venues located in Pakistan. But, the Current buzz unveils the host rights of Champions Trophy 2025 which is moving from PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) to UAE.
India’s Strong Oppose
When the locations and venues for CT 2025 were revealed, BCCI strongly opposed that they would never send their Indian team to Pakistan due to various security concerns. After a long discussion between BCCI, PCB and ICC, the debate has been concluded with agreement for hybrid venues for the matches of India.
UAE to host “Champions Trophy 2025”?
Today, the talks over the host rights for CT 2025 is becoming viral and it ensures that UAE will be hosting all the matches meanwhile, PCB is likely to lose the chance due to the incomplete renovation and construction works at the stadiums such as Karachi’s National Bank Stadium, Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium and the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Based on the given information these works were begun in the month of August last year and expected to be finished in December of the same year. The sources of TOI also stated that a final inspection of venues by ICC will be conducted, if these stadiums aren’t ready before February 12 then, they might handover the hosting rights to UAE.
