UAE successfully continues working towards protecting workers and laborers and fight Coronavirus Pandemic

Since the time the episode of the pandemic, the UAE continues to take severe measures in checking the spread by actualizing social distancing steps to control the infection from spreading.

For public safety, the Ministry of Health and Prevention (Mohap) requested the senior citizens to stay at home to maintain a strategic distance from crowded places, and the UAE authorities requested some administrative employees to work remotely amid Covid-19. Particularly, working towards spreading awareness among residents.

The UAE government made sure that migrant laborers get enough protection during the pandemic. Some laborers had limited access to sanitization items and food. Various volunteers and groups from Emirate distributing essential kits and other necessary commodities to those in need. Food-ATM gives free suppers to underprivileged people in the Emirates.

Abu Dhabi and Dubai have demanded to actualize remote working plans, as office workers are believed to be at higher risk of getting infected. The “remote work program” began in March, which was a triumph for workers in UAE.

Workers’ housing is sterilizing in a consistent way via the national sterilization operations, with this measure more than 2000 houses were disinfected. It additionally proceeds the ‘National Disinfection Program’ as a feature of the preventive and precautionary steps taken by the UAE to check coronavirus.

Everyone is urged to remain at home during the sanitization time, except if it is really important to go out for acquiring basic food supplies or medication.

Another very good measure is the “Be Well” campaign, which is composed to celebrate International Workers’ Day, which falls on May 1 and in acknowledgment of the endeavors and commitments of laborers in the UAE.

The campaign opens new chances for the UAE citizens to participate in giving the “Be Well” box for laborers, which includes 44 basic protective and preventive items for their health, safety, and social help, for example, face covers, gloves, sanitizers, food, also a calling credit, and phone sim card.
