Tulsi Gabbard quit Democratic Party and called this party an ‘elitist cabal of war-mongers’. She also blamed Joe Biden for his failed foreign policy.
Tulsi Gabbard, a former congresswoman as well as the first Hindu American to seek the presidency in 2020, declared on Tuesday that she is leaving the party in power, branding it a “elitist cabal of war-mongers.”
The 41-year-old Gabbard announced her retirement from the House of Representatives on Twitter. But she’s kept everyone wondering about what she’ll do next.
“I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party – which is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of war-mongers driven by cowardly wokeness,” Tulsi Gabbard expressed in a tweet.
In 2013, Tulsi became the first Hindu representative ever elected from Hawaii to the US House of Representatives, and she went on to win four additional elections.
Tulsi posted another tweet where she stated, “The Democrats of today divide us by racialising every issue, stoking anti-white racism, and are actively working to undermine our God-given freedoms enshrined in our Constitution.”
Prior to the significant midterm elections scheduled for next month, she left the party.
She further said, “The Democrats of today are hostile to people of faith and spirituality. They demonize the police and protect criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans.”
Following her unsuccessful pursuit for the 2020 presidential nomination, Gabbard finds herself moving further from the Democratic Party.
Tulsi Gabbard was a US Army Reserves soldier plus veteran of 3 deployments. She said,
“The Democrats of today believe in open borders and weaponise the national security state to go after political opponents. Above all else, the Democrats of today are dragging us ever closer to nuclear war.”
President Joe Biden has come under heavy criticism from Gabbard, who accuses him of ‘pouring fuel on the fires’ of the nation’s divisiveness.
She has also cited Biden’s unsuccessful foreign policy as a reason for Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine.
Tulsi believes in a government that is of the people, by the people, and for the people. But she believes that today’s Democratic Party does not follow this policy.
Instead, this administration stands for a government of, by, and for the powerful elite according to her.
Gabbard exhorted other members from the Democratic party to follow in her footsteps.
She calls on her fellow common sense, independent-minded Democrats to leave as well.
If people can no longer stomach the direction that so-called woke Democratic Party ideologies are taking their country. She invites people to join her.
