Top End T20 Series 2024: Everything You Need to Know
The Top End T20 Series is a cricket event in Darwin, Australia. It is operated by the Northern Territory Cricket. This year will be much bigger than years gone by; besides including the usual six teams, this number has increased to nine. In total, 30 matches are played over ten days. From 9 August 2024, the competition will start.
Who’s Playing?
The teams that compose the event are from all parts of Australia, together with the addition of two international teams. Here is the team list:

3. Melbourne Renegades Academy
4. Melbourne Stars Academy
5. Northern Territory Strike
6. Perth Scorchers Academy
7. Tasmania
8. Bangladesh A (from Bangladesh)
9. Pakistan Shaheens (from Pakistan)
Each team will play six matches in the first round. Thereafter, the four best teams will play in the semifinals. The final match is slated for August 18.
Who are Some of the Players?
Some of the players in the Bangladesh A team include Jishan Alam and Shamim Hossain. The Pakistan Shaheens team features, among others, Mohammad Haris, Abdul Faseeh, Sahibzada Farman, and Usman Khan. The other teams have players from various parts of Australia.
When are the Matches?
The tournament begins on August 9 through August 18. Here are some of the important dates:
The first match is on August 9 at 6:00 PM, while the last day of regular matches is August 17. Semi-finals are scheduled for August 18 at 10:00 AM, and the final match for the same day at 4:00 PM.
There are usually two to four matches every day. Some days start as early as 10:00 AM, while others have late matches at 6:00 PM.

The Top End T20 Series allows young, upcoming cricket players to play the game and showcase their talent. Further, this would also provide the teams from parts of Australia with a pathway to play against each other and other international teams.
