The Kartavya Path witnessed gallantry of the Made-in-India powerful weapon systems including ammunition on the occasion of the 74th Republic Day.
The Indian Armed Forces have been giving their country and fellow citizens selfless service by maintaining stability and domination on the borders along the Line of Control (LoC), the Line of Actual Control (LAC), and internationally through UN Peacekeeping operations.
The acquisition of assets such as the Akash Missile System, satellites, Modular Bridges, towed weapons, utility helicopters, electronic warfare system, and the like led to a significant improvement in the lethality, accuracy, and reliability of the Indian Army.
List of Made-In-India Weapons Debut On 74th Republic Day 2023
1. Quick Reaction Fighting Vehicle
TATA Advance System and Bharat Forge Limited are manufacturing these vehicles for the Indian Army as part of the Atma Nirbhar Bharat Scheme, and they serve as a bright representation of the Indian Army’s fight for independence.
This armored platform with four four-wheel drive units can hold ten fully armed troops and has a 360-degree turret with a 7.62mm medium machine gun mounted on it.
The car is also mineable and bulletproof, making it ideal for use as an escort vehicle and special responder for CI OPS.
With an OP range of up to 600 km and a top speed of 80 km/h, it can travel up to a 25 degree grade.
2. K9 Vajra-T of 224 Medium Regiment (Self Propelled)
The K9 Vajra-T 155mm/52 Caliber Tracked Self Propelled has a 40-kilometer firing range. The Tracked Self Propelled Gun System can move at a top speed of 60 km/h in arid desert terrain.

3. Brahmos of 861 Missile Regiment

The first indigenously created Air Defense System, the Akash Weapon System, can launch Short Range Surface to Air Missiles (SR-SAM) against enemy aerial platforms.
5. Wheeled Armored Platform (WHAP 8×8 on 70 Ton Trailer)
The Wheeled Armored Personnel Carrier, or WhAP 8×8, is an indigenously created and developed 70-ton trailer.
WhAP is an 8×8 wheeled fighting platform that is modular. WhAP is a cutting-edge, adaptable platform that may be used for roles like infantry vehicles, CBRN vehicles, ATGM carriers, etc.
The Armored Personnel Carrier model on show includes a composite armor system, a 30mm turret, and cutting-edge blast protection. This vehicle is amphibious and can go at a top speed of 100 km/h on roads.
