The UAE Reiterates To All Nations For A Nuclear-Weapons Free World

The UAE reminded all the nations of international peace and security with the disarmament of nuclear weapons. The country has a vision of a nuclear-weapons free world.

The UAE has reaffirmed its commitment to preserving and advancing global peace and international security through the creation of a nuclear-weapons free world and what the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) stands for as a foundation of the disarmament and non-proliferation system.

The UAE once again expressed disappointment that the Final Document of the Review Conference of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons was not accepted during the theme discussion on nuclear weapons at the United Nations.

They emphasized the Conference’s crucial role in the regime of disarmament and non-proliferation in this setting. In light of this, the UAE recommended engagement, dialogue, and the implementation of all measures designed to advance this goal.

The UAE reiterated its request for all nations to abide by international agreements and documents pertaining to nuclear safety and security in the statement, emphasizing that doing so would strengthen global peace and international security.

In compliance with pertinent treaties, most particularly the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, it was also emphasized how crucial it is to have an open approach to the peaceful use of nuclear energy.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) stated that it hoped to take part in the 3rd meeting of the Conference on the Establishment of a Zone Free of Nuclear Weapons and Other Weapons of Mass Destruction in the Middle East in November.

It emphasized the significance of full and active participation from all parties involved in the conference.

They stated that it is the obligation of Annex II countries to strive to sign and implement the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty in light of the growing concerns presented by the continued presence of nuclear weapons as well as the continued acquisition and development of them.

The International Atomic Energy Agency safeguards system, which offers a dependable framework to verify that nuclear materials and installations be used for solely peaceful reasons, was again emphasized as having a crucial role by the UAE.

The UAE declared that it has reached a “complete safeguards” deal with the International Atomic Energy Agency and signed its extra protocol as a result of its dedication to the non-proliferation regime.

In order to restore trust in the purely peaceful nature of their programs, it reiterates its request for state stability that has concerns about the integrity of their nuclear activities to give the required cooperation and reply in a way based on the IAEA’s inquiries.

The UAE is led by rational leadership and acts with an undisputed quest to spread peace and security in the world. The UAE administration made several visits to resolve state disputes for state stability.

The UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed had recently visited Russia to reach a solution to the Ukrainian crisis.
