The Business Icon Narayana Murthy Admonitions “Mass Migration” due to Climate Change
One of the important global crises is the “Climate Change” which is the consequences of human’s contempt over the environment and its protection. Asian countries are significantly affected by climate change which results in rising temperature, sea-level rise, landslides, unexpected natural disasters, water scarcity and variations in the global climate. The individuals who belong to the IT sector in the cities such as Bangalore, Hyderabad, & Pune dived into the ocean of deep thinking after the statement of Infosys Co-Founder, Narayana Murthy admonition about the “Mass Migration” which could takes place due to climate change to these cities.
“We in India, particularly the corporate sector, have to cooperate with politicians and bureaucrats and ensure that there is no mass migration. That is the challenge. We Must care for the underprivileged sections of society, or else we are no better than animals”
He said that the “Mass Migration” could take place in the metropolitan cities including Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune. The passionate and inspiring personality Narayana Murthy underscored the current environment of India and predominant African regions which suffer from the high temperature, uneven rainfall, and unpredictable weather which are due to the drastic climate changes. In particular, India has a dense population and the impact of such climate change will definitely be unimaginable. He added into his speech about the predictions of the upcoming 20 to 25 years in which certain areas of India “could become uninhabitable”.
“These cities have become extremely challenging to live in, difficult to navigate, and have witnessed rising pollution levels. They are heading toward becoming unlivable”, warned the exemplary businessman Murthy about the possibility of migration and the rise in a challenging environment. He expressed the hope of development in the concerns regarding the climate change by 2030 with the futuristic plans of the Indian government.
He then continued to narrate regarding the work-life balance because there are many allegations and even many individuals sacrifice their lives out of pressure without the correct guidance for a proper work-life balance.
“At Infosys, I said we will go to the best and compare ourselves with the best global companies. Once we compare ourselves with the best global companies, I can tell you we Indians have a lot to do. We have to set our aspirations high because 800 million Indians get free ration. That means 800 million Indians are in poverty. If we are not in a position to work hard, then who will work hard?”
