The Thamma OTT release is officially taking place on Amazon prime video, and the film will be available to a larger audience this December. According to the reports, the movie is already offered in early digital rental since December 2, 2025. This will enable the enthusiastic audiences to stream the movie prior to its official release on OTTs.

The entire release of Thamma OTT to every Prime Video subscriber is however planned to happen on December 16, 2025. Although the platform has not issued an official announcement yet, the date is confirmed by several sources in the industry including Binged.

Dual Release Strategy on Prime Video

Amazon has chosen a two-OTT launch plan of Thamma, like other theatrical large-scale titles:

Stage 1: Paid Early Access (Digital Rental) – Available from December 2
Stage 2: Free Streaming for Subscribers – Begins December 16

About the Movie: Plot & Genre

Thamma movie is one of the largest Diwali theatrical hits of the year with a blend of horror, folklore, romance, comedy and emotional narrations. The movie introduces the audience to Alok Goyal, a journalist whose life transforms when she gets to know of the mystical Betaal Tadaka. The sudden friendship causes them to fall in love illegally and the book is full of mystery and change.

They then fight together against Yakshasan, a mixture of mythology fantasy, and the classic humour and suspense of the MHCU. The multi-layered storyline of the film is what renders it one of the best movies in the horror-comedy genre.
