Tata Motors Launches Electric SUV ‘Tata Punch EV’, Book At Just ₹21,000
Today Tata Motors has launched the Indian electric vehicle eSUV ‘Tata Punch EV.’ The country’s smallest electric SUV is priced between Rs 10.99 lakh and Rs 14.49 lakh.
This e-SUV is a significant model in Tata’s electric vehicle lineup, positioned between the affordable Tata Tiago EV and the more premium Nexon EV.
The Tata Punch EV comes in two main variants: the standard model with a 25 kWh battery pack and the Long Range version with a 35 kWh battery.
The standard model can travel up to 315 km on a single charge, while the Long Range variant boasts an impressive 421 km range. This means you can drive longer distances without worrying about constantly recharging.
Inside, the Tata Punch EV features a modern and comfortable dual-tone interior, a stylish two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, and a large infotainment screen. These features are designed to make your driving experience both enjoyable and convenient.
One of the unique aspects of the Punch EV is its 14-litre frunk (front trunk), a storage space under the hood. This extra space is made possible because electric vehicles don’t have the large engines that traditional cars do.
Safety is a key priority for the Punch EV, which comes with six airbags, ABS, electronic stability control, cruise control, and a 360-degree camera in the top-spec trim. These features are crucial for ensuring a safe driving experience.
The rear design of the Punch EV is similar to its ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) counterpart, but it includes 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and disc brakes on all wheels. The front of the vehicle features a charger port, making it convenient to charge the vehicle.
In terms of performance, the standard Punch EV has a 60kW/114Nm motor, while the Long Range version is equipped with a 90kW/190Nm motor, offering brisk acceleration and smooth driving.
Tata Motors is also offering two charging options for the Punch EV: a 3.3 kW wallbox charger and a 7.2 kW fast home charger, which is exclusive to the Long Range variant. This flexibility ensures that you can charge your vehicle conveniently at home or on the go.
