The story of Shakuntalam revolves around the love story of Shakuntala & great king Dushyant in Mahabharata, performed by Samantha and Dev Mohan.

Shaakuntalam, Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s next Telugu mythological drama, saw the release of its trailer on Monday in Hyderabad. 

According to the trailer’s aesthetics, the movie portrays Samantha at her most ethereal in what appears to be an epic reenactment of a Mahabharata episode.

The trailer begins with a picture of a vast country, followed by a voiceover that introduces us to a newborn that Menaka and Viswamithra abandoned. The baby is identified as Shaakuntala in the trailer, who was born with a mission.

In her next movie Shakuntalam, Samantha Ruth Prabhu plays a helpless damsel. The actress looks very stunning in the first trailer for the movie, which also stars Dev Mohan. 

The hugely produced movie is based on the critically renowned Sanskrit play “Abhijnana Shakuntalam” by Kalidasa. The movie will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada movie theaters.

The epic love story of Shakuntala and King Dushyant from the Mahabharata, as depicted by Samantha and Dev Mohan, is the central theme of Shaakuntalam.

Director Gunasekhar is behind the camera for this charming love story set in Kashyapa Kanumalu (Kashmir), which is made special by the splendor and opulence of Dushyant’s Puru Dynasty.

Meanwhile, Samantha has kept a low profile since being diagnosed with Myositis, an autoimmune disease. Samantha reported a few months ago that she has been diagnosed with myositis, an autoimmune disease. 

Through her most recent social media post, the 35-year-old diva broke the quiet over her health update. She posted a photo of herself on Instagram holding an IV drip to her wrist while lounging on a couch.
