The Indian Security Forces killed 3 terrorists in an encounter near Sidhra bridge in Jammu. They were heavily armed and trying to hide in a truck.

According to reports from Jammu and Kashmir, the security forces made a significant breakthrough on Wednesday when they shot and killed three feared terrorists in the Sidhra area.

As per the sources, the three terrorists who were killed are being identified. According to a J&K police spokesman, the shooting broke out around 7.30 AM, and more forces were quickly dispatched to the scene to neutralize the terrorists.

In a truck bound for Kashmir, the 3 terrorists were stopped near Tawi Bridge, according to officials.

“We observed a truck moving in an odd way and followed it. When the vehicle came to a stop in Jammu at Sidhra, the driver was able to escape. Terrorists were hiding inside the vehicle when it was searched, and they opened fire on the staff. It was shot in retaliation,” ADGP Mukesh Singh told reporters.

Two to three terrorists were reportedly caught in the area, according to Mukesh Singh, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Jammu Zone, who earlier confirmed the occurrence.

A day after a significant terror assault was prevented in the J&K district of Udhampur, Sidhra in Jammu saw the start of the gunfight between terrorists and security personnel.

Police officials claim that the discovery of the cylindrical-shaped IED, 300-400 kg of RDX, seven 7.62 mm ammunition, and five detonators in the Basantgarh region prevented a significant terrorist strike.

In light of the forthcoming Republic Day celebrations on 26th January, the local police and security forces are already on high alert.

According to ADGP Singh, a Quick Response Team on a national highway spotted a strange movement of a truck and began pursuing it.

Around 7 o’clock in the morning, the police signaled for the vehicle to stop at the naka at the Sidhra Bridge and directed the driver to exit. The driver responded, but used the thick fog to escape away.

However the police captured a suspect and found a coded sheet and letter-pad page belonging to the terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
