Republic Day 2023 Parade Begins, President & PM Greet Nation

Today, India will mark the 74th Republic Day with a large march down Kartavya Path, formerly known as Rajpath. The redesigned ceremonial boulevard will have its inaugural procession during this time.
The President of India Droupadi Murmu, PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah greeted the nation on the Republic Day eve.
The parade, which is scheduled to start at 10.30 am, will highlight both the military prowess and cultural diversity of the nation. This year’s Chief Guest is Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the president of Egypt.

Anthony Albanese, the prime minister of Australia, sent greetings to Indians on this, their 74th Republic Day. It is “an opportunity” to honor the “rich culture and outstanding achievements of modern India,” Albanese said in his statement.
The ceremonial parade will feature an unified band and marching battalion of the Egyptian Armed Forces for the first time.
Today, during the 74th Republic Day celebrations, the ceremonial parade will be held on the Kartavya Path amid patriotic pride, and six Agniveers will be a part of the Navy’s marching group.
Ahead of the 74th Republic Day celebrations, security has been boosted at a number of Delhi locations. Police officers could be seen thoroughly inspecting the automobiles.
Crossings, checkpoints with sniffer dogs, and metal detectors are heavily barricaded. The march will be seen by about 65,000 people today, according to the Delhi Police.
Only legitimate pass holders and ticket purchasers will be permitted in. A total of 6,000 Indian forces have been sent out to guard the march.

There will be about 150 CCTV cameras, including high-resolution cameras, used to monitor the Kartavya Path.
Google also featured a gujarati artist’s doodle in honor of India’s 74th Republic Day. Parth Kothekar, an artist living in Ahmedabad, created a Google doodle to commemorate India’s 74th Republic Day today.
Today marks the first time that Delhi’s Kartavya Path, a newly renovated ceremonial avenue from the British era formerly known as the Rajpath, would be used for the 74th Republic Day parade.
