Ravi Bishnoi Becomes World No.1 T20I Bowler, Replaces Afghanistan’s Player

The Indian cricket player Ravi Bishnoi, a young and dynamic Indian spinner, has achieved a remarkable feat. He has risen to become the World’s No.1 T20I bowler.

Ravi Bishnoi’s journey to this prestigious spot was nothing short of spectacular. He showcased his immense talent in the recent T20I series against Australia, where he played a pivotal role in India’s impressive 4-1 series win. 

Bishnoi, with his exceptional bowling, claimed nine wickets in just five matches. This performance not only earned him the ‘Player of the Series’ award but also propelled him to the top of the ICC T20I bowlers’ rankings.

Before this series, Bishnoi was ranked 5th with 665 rating points. His extraordinary performances boosted him to 699 rating points, surpassing the previous top-ranked bowler, Rashid Khan from Afghanistan.

Alongside Bishnoi, another Indian player, Ruturaj Gaikwad, made headlines with his batting prowess. Gaikwad, who scored a brilliant century in the series, maintained his position among the top 10 T20I batters, currently ranked at No. 7.

Ravi Bishnoi’s rise to the top is not just an individual achievement but also a testament to India’s deep pool of cricketing talent.

Former Sri Lankan cricket legend Muttiah Muralitharan had also praised Bishnoi for his distinct bowling style and effectiveness. Muralitharan highlighted Bishnoi’s ability to bowl quicker than other leg spinners and his skill in sliding the ball, making him a standout performer.
