R Madhavan’s ‘Nambi Effect’ leaves everyone impressed, Amitabh Bachchan extends his wishes
The trailer of R Madhavan’s directorial debut Rocketry: The Nambi Effect was released on Thursday and in no time it received a lot of love and attention. The much awaited project stars R Madhavan and it is also written by him.
The biographical drama is based on the life of famous Indian rocket scientist Nambi Narayan, who used to work in Indian Space Research Organisation. The story majorly revolves around the former scientist’s case of being falsely charged with espionage. He was arrested in 1994 for the same and was acquitted by the Supreme Court in 1998.
The trailer starts with Madhavan donning the present day look of the genius scientist. He is talking to Shahrukh Khan in the English and Hindi while Surya is playing the character of the interviewer in Tamil and Telugu versions of the trailer. The story starts with Nambi warning other characters about a threat for which, if not paid attention, then history will repeat itself.

Soon after the release of the trailer, celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan showered Madhavan with blessings. Senior Bachchan had earlier worked with actor turned director in Teen Patti. He said, “All the very best Maddy.”
Even Priyanka Chopra also congratulated Madhavan for picking up such a topic. She said, “Maddy! You maverick… trust you to pick such an intriguing subject to produce, write, direct and act in! ‘Rocketry’ looks amazing,” while also extending her wishes.
Madhavan’s co-star Abhishek Bachchan also tweeted about the trailer. He said, “Wow Maddy! Outstanding. Well done brother.”
Apart from this Hrithik Roshan was also among the long list of stars who were impressed by the trailer. He called it the ‘Maddy Effect’. “They say all good things take time. I call it the Maddy effect! This MAD cinema lover turns director, writer, and story teller. Don’t miss out on this flight of Rocketry, guys. Enjoy the trailer,” he wrote as he shared the trailer.
Even Farhan Akhtar also shared the trailer on his Twitter wall and said that by the looks of it, he feels that Madhavan has immersed himself in this ambitious project.
