Priyanka Chopra shares her unpleasant experience with a filmmaker ahead of her book release

Priyanka Chopra is a well-known figure both in India as well as the world and she has time and again proved that fame is not just to enjoy but there is a responsibility involved with it. Her memoir ‘Unfinished’ will soon be released where she has not only shared her journey by also her experiences in the industry. 

One of the parts that has already surfaced the media is the actor talking about her initial days in the industry. On different platforms, she has said that it was a very difficult experience as there was absolutely no help from anyone but people will get to see a more detailed explanation of that in this memoir. 

In one of the episodes of Unfinished, the actor was asked by a filmmaker to get her proportions fixed. She said that the incident occurred soon after he was crowned Miss India in 2000, which meant that it was her early days in the movie business. She also wrote that it was her first meeting with this particular director. 

“After a few minutes of small talk, the director/producer told me to stand up and twirl for him. I did. He stared at me long and hard, assessing me, and then suggested that I get a b**b job, fix my jaw, and add a little more cushioning to my b*tt. If I wanted to be an actress, he said, I’d need to have my proportions ‘fixed’, and he knew a great doctor in LA he could send me to. My then-manager voiced his agreement with the assessment,” the 38-year-old actor said. 

Chipra then went on to say that she felt stunned and small after the incident. She added in her upcoming book that her career is so much based on appearance and she experienced a totally different world from what she had imagined. The global icon says that she entered a paradise but the door was shut on her face that hurt her a lot. 

As far as her recent release is concerned, the actor has been widely appreciated for ‘The White Tiger’ and it has gained itself mentions in the top categories of BAFTA this year. Apart from that, she is working on two Hollywood movies. She will next be seen in ‘Text For You’ which also stars Sam Heughan and Celine Dion and Matrix 4, which stars Keanu Reeves it.
