I will hold talks…
During this two-day of visit from August 21-22, PM Modi will meet with the President of Poland Andrzej Duda, and Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
PM Modi will also address the Indian community in Warsaw. Discussions are expected to cover a wide range of topics, including strategic partnerships, defense cooperation, and cultural exchanges.
European Parliament member Dariusz Zonski described the visit as “very important”. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stressed the historical ties between the two countries, recalling Poland’s support during Operation Ganga in 2022, which helped in the evacuation of over 4,000 Indian students from Ukraine.
This, along with India’s historic asylum for more than 6,000 Polish women and children during World War II, underlines the strong ties between the two countries.
PM Modi will also visit Kyiv, Ukraine, on August 23 to meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
