The Pragati Maidan Exhibition Complex in New Delhi has undergone a stunning transformation and is now ready to host the G20 Leaders‘ Meetings.
The complex is located in the heart of the city, just 18 km from the international airport and 2.5 km from Connaught Place.
It has been a prominent landmark for over 50 years and is known for its large exhibition spaces.
After redevelopment, the complex, known as the India Exposition Mart Limited (IECC), has become one of the top 10 Exhibition and Convention Complexes in the world, comparable to renowned venues like the Hannover Exhibition Centre in Germany and the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai.
The IECC boasts an impressive campus area of about 123 acres, making it India’s largest Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) destination.
It is equipped to host world-class events on a grand scale, and its infrastructure is a testament to India’s ability to organize such events.
The Convention Centre at Level 3 is a massive space with a seating capacity for 7,000 individuals, surpassing even the iconic Sydney Opera House in Australia, which can seat approximately 5,500 people.
This makes the IECC an ideal venue for hosting large conferences, international summits, and cultural events.
The Exhibition Halls within the complex offer seven state-of-the-art spaces for showcasing products, innovations, and ideas.
These halls provide an excellent platform for exhibitors and companies to interact with their target audience, fostering business growth and networking opportunities.
The IECC also features a splendid Amphitheater with seating for 3,000 people. This amphitheater is equivalent to three PVR theaters combined and is perfect for captivating performances, cultural shows, and entertainment events, creating a mesmerizing experience for the audience.
Visitor convenience is a top priority at the IECC, evidenced by the provision of over 5,500 vehicle parking spaces. Additionally, the complex is easily accessible through signal-free roads, ensuring visitors can reach the venue without any hassle.
The redeveloped Pragati Maidan complex is set to be inaugurated on July 26 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and it will host the G20 Leaders’ Meetings.
