PM Narendra Modi Inaugurates Bundelkhand Expressway, To Connect 7 Districts
PM Modi inaugurated Bundelkhand Expressway in Jalaun, UP. The 296 km long expressway is completed in just 28 months. Delhi to Chitrakoot distance will be covered in just 7 hours.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated today the Bundelkhand Expressway in Kaitheri village of Orai tehsil of Jalaun district.
The PM laid the foundation stone of Bundelkhand Expressway on February 29, 2020. The work of this expressway has been completed within 28 months.
The total length of this expressway is 296 km. The construction of this four-lane expressway has been done by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) for about 14, 850 crore has been done at a cost of Rs. Later on it can also be made six lanes.
This expressway will connect Bundelkhand to many major cities including Delhi.
Bundelkhand Expressway Route To Connect 7 Districts
This expressway extends from National Highway-35 at Gonda village near Bharatkup in Chitrakoot district to Kudrail village in Etawah district. Here it merges with the Agra-Lucknow Expressway.
This expressway passes through seven districts i.e. Chitrakoot, Banda, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Jalaun, Auraiya and Etawah.
Bundelkhand Expressway will boost the economic development along with improving the connectivity of the area.

The distance from Delhi to Chitrakoot via the Delhi Yamuna Expressway in 7 hours is currently about 668.7 km.
Bundelkhand Will Be Connected To 6 Cities
Due to the new expressway, Bundelkhand will be connected to not only Delhi but also Lucknow, Kanpur, Aligarh, Mathura-Vrindavan and Noida-Greater Noida.

Benefits of Bundelkhand Expressway
The expressway is in the width of four lanes. A service road is being constructed in a staggered form to facilitate easy movement of the residents of nearby villages.
Four railway over bridges, 14 long bridges, six toll plazas, seven ramp plazas, 293 minor bridges, 19 flyovers and 224 underpasses have been constructed on the expressway.
Connectivity Route Of Bundelkhand Expressway
Bundelkhand Expressway will connect to Delhi via Agra-Lucknow Expressway via Yamuna Expressway.
The 296 km Bundelkhand Expressway, 135 km Agra-Lucknow Expressway, 165 km Yamuna Expressway, 24 km Noida-Greater Noida and 9 km DND Flyway make up a total distance of 630 km. It can be fixed in about seven hours.
